Grass turf has been recently getting popular in a residential setting, Biophilic Design is being forecasted as one of the big design trends in 2025. Why do you want to have a grass turf in your house?
Having greenery in your house, will bring in the lush, luxury feeling. Greenery also has the calming effect when you get home. A good mini getaway without leaving your home.
Gym Turf
Gym Turf is the common choice for synthetic turf for gym floor. It is generally shorter and rougher as compare to other artificial turf. This is because it is commonly used for sled push. Shorter and rougher grass blade for gym turf allows better shear resistance and not let the grass blade to come out easily. Usually have a foam or thick rubber below to grass carpet. This is to cushion one’s landing when jumping is usually expected.
Artificial Turf (Artificial Grass Carpet)
Artificial Turf (also known as Artificial Grass Carpet, Synthetic grass carpet or astroturf) has longer blades and it is softer to touch. Created to serve for aesthetic purpose. It is usually overlay on top of flooring with adhesive binding them to the ground. Because of it being a synthetic grass blade, it still has the evergreen effect.
Having the greenery will help build the aesthetic of your house. Usually, artificial grass is being placed at the balcony like mini lawn if you are staying in HDB area and Condo. Natural Grass is not recommended as mosquito breeding may take place because there will be a need to water the grass.
If you are staying in a landed property, there are advantages of using artificial turf like little maintenance while having evergreen grass look.
Natural Grass Turf
Natural Grass Turf as the name suggest, it is natural grass. We don’t carry Natural Grass carpet in Vix Marketing. There will be a need for watering and sun for natural grass and it is not practical unless you have a huge empty space. It is going to be cheaper upfront but will be expensive to maintain if you want to keep it evergreen. The grass blade will turn yellow and patchy. However, it is the most natural way of having a grass patch.
